And welcome to another epic edition of the Talk of the Town. Now I'm your host, film producer Jason Slack, and today is Thursday, March 28, 2024.
And today's episode is inspired by the love and memory of rapper Eze, who died March 26 in 19, 95, 29 years ago.
Man, you know, eazy e, what can I say, man? He put, you know, one of the first people to put Compton on the map, one of the first people to put west coast on the map.
One of the first, like music businessmen that I knew. Not only was he a rapper, but he owned the record label called Ruthless Records.
And talented dude, man, he was just an inspiration, man. You know, you don't know the story about how his rap career got started. You know, originally, you know, he wasn't a rapper. You know, Doctor Dre and Ice Cube came up with the idea because they wrote a song for another group that didn't work out and they had eazy e do it reluctantly, you know, they turned out the lights so he couldn't be seen.
And the rest was history, man. The song that they had him do was a song called boys in the hood and classic song, and the rest, like I said just a minute ago, the rest is history, man. The icon definitely remembered, man. You know, it was crazy, you know, sadly, he passed away due to AIDS. And for me, that was the first time we heard of something like that, you know, I remember I was in the 7th grade and it was like, shocking. Even like, teachers, my gym teacher, like, stopped and talk to us about it, you know what I'm saying? And, you know, I'm from New York, so that's the importance of it, you know, it sends shockwaves through the world. So, you know, rest in peace to easy e. And this episode, man, is dedicated to your memory, man. You know, rest in peace. Eazy. We love you.
We. In the last week of March, you know, I want to give another shout out to everybody that had a birthday in March.
Special shout out to Nia and Nya coming up on March 30, celebrating their birthday in Florida. You know, we want to tell you we love you going to college now. You know what I'm saying? Like, super proud, super proud. Keep doing it. Keep doing your thing. Celebrate your birthday. We love you. And I want to give a shout out to my brother chill, man, who just celebrated his birthday this past Monday, you know, I mean, still out here doing this thing, man. Proud, man.
We had a conversation the other day, man, and we, we go do it big next year, man. We gonna do it big, man. Shout out to Bev. Happy birthday, man. Y'all bring it in. Y'all do ya dang, man. Two legends, man.
On another note, man, I want to say congratulations to my man TJ.
TJ is a member of Dream Elite.
This overall, man, great kid, man. I'm proud to coach him, to be able to say I was able to coach him.
And I remember when he first came to the team, I didn't know much about him, but then, you know, like all my other players, man, he grew on me, you know, it was something about him, you know, I watched him, and this kid has a love for the game, man. He just loved to play, you know, basketball. He loves the game of basketball, man.
I watch him over the years just get better and better and better as he, you know, develop and grow into his body, man. You know, I just watch him get better each year. You know, he has a tireless work effort. Like I said, he loves the game. He's passionate about it. You know, the floor, general point guard can shoot, take it to the rack. He could jump.
I mean, it's a complete game, you know, congratulations to him, man. He just committed to Francis Marion College. I never, you know, over the years, I never got a chance to see the, you know, actually go to the school and see what it looked like, man. But I just. I rolled past it a number of times, and it looked like, you know, looks like it's a great school. You know, I heard great things about it.
I believe. I know, I know three people that attended, you know, that college, and, you know, everything, you know, so far, so good. Everything checks out. Nothing but good stories about it. And for the most part, man, you know, I think he's gonna love it there, you know, he's gonna do great. The coaches are gonna love him. You're getting a leader, you getting a. Nobody works harder, you know, nobody loves the game more than he does. And I just. I can't wait to see what he does at the next level.
And, you know, for me, you know, dream elite, he's a member of vision for kids.
And, you know, I'm just proud to say, you know, I coached him, and I have yet another member of my dream elite team, you know, going to the next level to play basketball. It just comes. It just keeps coming in, man, you know, keeps getting better and better, you know, like, this is a dynasty, man. You know, I don't know any AAU coaches that. That had that many players, man. I challenge you to come up with as many players I have that went on to the next level to play, man. You know, we all over the place, man. You know, once again, it's not about me. It's about my man TJ, man. You know, congratulations. Committed. Francis Marion, you're getting the dog, man. Can't wait. Can't wait.
Before we get started, man, I just want to say I hope y'all have a happy Easter. You know, y'all celebrate your holidays the right way.
You know, this holiday, man, is about. It's about God, you know what I'm saying? It truly is, man. Without him, you know, none of us would be here, you know what I mean? So happy Easter in advance. Hopefully, I'm the first one that told you, so y'all be safe, you know what I'm saying? Y'all represent him the right way.
And if you have any kids or know any kids, man, they were Easter egg hunt, you know, like we do for vision for kids, man. You know, the kids love that, you know what I'm saying? So happy Easter here from the Stykers talk podcast, man. Happy Easter.
I want to say thank y'all, man, for, for tuning in last week, man. We had a special crossover show, as y'all know, you know, I double up here and there on the sports court network. I got my little, you know, slackest sports show over there on sports court network where every once in a while I be doing, you know, a crossover show between that and slackest talk, you know, just basically, you know, my sports version of the slackest talk podcast, you know, where I talk about, you know, all things sports, you know, but I represent my teams, you know, the jets, the bulls, the Mets, you know what I'm saying? We talk about anything that goes on sports related. All the big news right now, you know, it's the sweet 16 getting ready to start for all the college basketball fans out there, you know, I hope y'all, you know, y'all did y'all brackets, y'all put your brackets in, hopefully, that, that nets y'all some money, you know what I'm saying? I know how it is. Mine is already messed up, man. You know, it's just been upset after upset, you know what I mean? So I'm out. I don't in the towel, but at least I can say my Duke blue devils and my LSU girls are still in it, you know what I'm saying? So both of my dogs are still in the fight. But definitely, man, you know, thanks for tuning in and check out sports corps network every chance you get, man. We got some stuff going on over there, you know, but definitely tune in and keep it posted. And that's not the, that's definitely not the last crossover show. So, you know, stay tuned for more on that now, you know, now that we got the business out the way, let's go ahead and get started. You know, before our sports crossover show, I talked about relationships a little bit.
You know, I talked about relationships. That was the first time we did relationships in a while.
And that that episode was, was such a success that y'all wanted me to do it again.
You know what I'm saying? Y'all wanted me to talk about relationships again, but this time, y'all had something different for me.
And I appreciate it, man, because this is a good one, too, man. This is a, this is a real good one. This is a real good one.
And today we talking about relationships.
But more specifically, we talking about my man Jalen Green, who's a guard on the Houston rockets.
And he's 22 years old, by the way, and we're talking about his girlfriend, Dre, and Michelle. Y'all might know her from basketball wives, and she's 39 years old.
So as you can see, it's a big age difference.
The age is a big gap. You know, it's a big difference.
And this is not the first time. Nowhere near, you know, there's a lot of, you know, there's a lot of this going on that's been going on for years, but. But this time, it's a little twist.
It's the woman that's 17 years older than the man and not the man, you know, 17 years older than the woman.
And that's kind of the question that y'all hit me with today.
That's the question.
Basically, here's the issue that y'all want me to tackle or y'all want me to talk about, and y'all want to know how I feel about it.
Basically, people are saying that, you know, if she was 22 years old and he was 39, people will be in the uproar because they would feel like, yo, you know, he's taking advantage of her.
You know, she's not old enough. You know, was he dealing with her before she was, you know, legal? That. That type of thing. You know what I'm saying? That type of thing, you know, is that type of thing going on.
And basically, what y'all want to know, is it a double standard because he's a guy and he's the younger one, and you, maybe you're one of those people that feel like a woman can't really take advantage of a man in that type of way.
And basically, y'all just want to, like, know what's the difference? Or is there even. Is there even a difference? You know what I'm saying? Basically. So that's what we're going to talk about here today on the Slackest talk podcast. Is there a difference between the man being older versus the woman and vice versa? Is there a difference? Or if there is a difference, what is that difference? That's what we gonna talk about here on the slackest talk podcast.
Now, let's start from the beginning.
I don't, you know, to start off right off the rip, I don't think. I don't believe that the issue, or if you don't want to say it's an issue, I don't. I think.
I don't believe that the very thing that makes people interested in this is the actual age difference. I don't think the situation is the actual age difference, which is 17 years.
I don't think it's the 17 year difference.
I think the problem is more so the age, the age itself.
What I mean by that is people are looking at it. She's 39 and he's just 22.
People are stuck on the fact that he's just 22.
You get what I'm saying?
I don't think.
Well, first, let me be clear.
Anytime you do have that kind of age difference, people are going to realize that, especially, like, if it's two people in the public, like two celebrities and stuff like that, people are going to realize the age difference. I mean, that's this. That stands out like a. Like a sore dumb. I mean, there's no way around that. People go. Know that people go, people go talk about it, definitely.
But I don't think it would be that much of a big deal if she was 50 and he was 33.
You understand what I'm saying?
That's still 17. That's still 17 years. But both people are like, I want to use the word grown, but I can't because at 22, he's a grown man as well. You know what I'm saying?
But at 50 and 33, you could say, like, both of them are, I guess, veterans.
Like, both of them are experienced. You could say, you know, 33 years on this earth is, you know, you have some experience. You're not in your twenties no more. You. You've seen some things, and definitely 50 is, you know, definitely, you know, I mean, so I should say, like, two veterans, let's call it, you know what I'm saying? Unless y'all have a better word for it.
If she was 50 and he was 33, I don't think it would be as big of a deal because they both, you know, season, they both veterans.
I think people are stuck on the fact that he's 22, even though, like, he's grown.
He's only one year removed from, you know, being 21, being able to drink legally, being able to, like, legally go to clubs and all that good stuff. And he didn't go to college. He played for the Houston Rockets. He went, you know, out of high school. He went straight to the G league, played for the G league for a year, and then got drafted to the NBA. So he didn't go to college route. But, you know, technically, you know, a college student that goes four years, he would.
He would be just getting out of college, you know what I'm saying? Or either just getting out of college or just completed his senior year you know, or in his senior year, I should say. Right?
And even though he's grown, that's still considered young, you know what I'm saying? Like, you knew out here, you haven't seen everything yet. You're just getting out of school, you know what I'm saying? You're figuring out the do's and don'ts of being a man.
You're trying to, you just got your first million dollars. You know, you're trying to figure out how to manage your money. You're trying to figure out, you know, what good people that you, that you should have around you to maintain your brand, to maintain you as an NBA player.
You know, you're just getting started, you know what I'm saying? At 33, you, you already had some years in the game already. You know, I'm saying if he was 33 years old, he'll be considered, you know, an old head in the NBA today. You know, in NBA today, 25 years old. You're a veteran. You're considered old at 33. Like, you're, you're a great beard, as they would call it, like back in the day.
So drea, on the other hand, 39, a vet, you know, she's been around. She's been with athletes, celebrities, the show and everything.
And at the face of it, you know, people are going to naturally think, is she trying to take advantage of him? Now here on the slackest talk podcast, you know how I do it. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. You know, I'm saying you're innocent until proven guilty.
Now, question, you know, question.
We all, you know, looking into the situation from the outside, right?
But none of us really know how they met.
You see what I'm saying?
Yeah. You know, we may know both of them. You know, if you're an NBA fan, you know who Jalen Green is. If you're, if you watch tv, you know, you watch the basketball wives and stuff like that, you know who drea is. So you're familiar with both, but do you actually know how they met?
I asked that question because what if, what if he noticed her first?
What if he saw her first and he approached her, which is more likely?
Like, more than likely. I mean, times are changing now.
Times are changing, like drastically. But it used to be anyway, the man more than likely approaches the woman, but that's not always true all the time, you know what I'm saying? She could have been coming to the games and, you know what I'm saying? And making herself seen and it went from there and stuff. Like that. But what if, like, he saw her first and she never really knew who he was and, you know, he approached her.
If he approached her, can you still say that she's taking advantage of him when he made the first move?
You know what I'm saying? That's a good question. That's a good question. And we will get more into it, you know, when we come back for commercial break here on the Slackest talk podcast.
Stay tuned.
Welcome back, slackest talk community. We back with another edition of the slackest talk question of the week.
And this one is a good one, man. Kind of different. Y'all must have been thirsty this week, man. Y'all must have been, you know, real thirsty because y'all had some drinks on your mind, man.
But nevertheless, man, the slackest question of the week is, out of these drinks, which one is your favorite?
And the nominees are Gatorade, mystic Powerade, and minute maid.
Now, you know, I gotta say, you know, I drink all four of them. You know, I'm saying, I don't mess with powerade too much unless I have no other option. You know, I'm saying, if it's between Powerade and Gatorade, I'm just going to grab a Gatorade first, you know what I'm saying? That's just the norm. You know what I'm saying? That's just how it always been. You know what I'm saying? So I don't drink Powerade unless it's like no other option.
But, you know, I'm a fan of all four.
Now, surprisingly, you know, on social media, on all the platforms, y'all chose minutemates. Minute Maeve was a popular drink on all the social media platforms. But me personally, I was always a fan of mystic, man. It's like a.
It's the taste, man. It's like a tropical drink. You know what I'm saying? I'm a fan of all the flavors. Great, man. That great drink is just slamming, yo. It do something to me, man. Like, it's like, I always been a fan of that, man. Like, I've been drinking that since I was probably like, nah, you know what I'm saying? Like, coming at that glass bottle, I think they made it plastic now, but, like, it's just, there's something about it, man. I like all the flavors, too. All of them. That's. That's the thing about it. I can't really say.
I can't really say that with the rest of them. But mystic, man, it doesn't matter, like, what flavor you bring. You bring a mystic. I'm drinking, you know, I'm saying. So the popular answer on social media was minute made for me. My favorite is mystic. I'm going with mystic on this one.
And for the second portion of the segment, we got the Wednesday night versus battle. And, man, y'all.
Y'all hit good on this one, man. You know, we talking about two legendary r and B female groups. Which one do you got? Is it TLC, or is it destiny's child now? You know, normally, y'all know how I feel about Beyonce. You know what I'm saying? I mean, you know, I don't go against her, period. You know what I'm saying? Like, whatever.
Whatever she into, whatever she want to do, you know, she's normally the winner in my book, but this one, you know, I can't.
I can't go against the logic, man. You know? Is this evident? First off, destiny, child, I feel like they wasn't.
I feel like they wasn't together long enough, you know what I'm saying, to make an impact as a group.
TLC, like, just straight out the gate, man.
They couldn't miss. They couldn't miss. Like, every album is like a classic, you know what I'm saying? Like, you.
It's like they didn't have any weak songs at all. Like, they couldn't miss. It was just like, what was they gonna do next? You know, it was gonna be a hot song. And plus, with the TLC, like, you had all the ingredients, you know, t Boz was the lead singer. Chili would do backup. She would provide a different flavor, and she'll also take the lead sometimes, like, on scrubs, you know, I'm saying, she came in, she provided that different element, and they had the rapper, you know, I'm saying. Lisa left out Lopez, rest in peace. So they had, you know, the rapper. They had the backup Cena singer who could also take lead, and they had the lead singer. You know, I'm saying, how can you. How can you miss? You got everything right there. So sorry, Beyonce. I go against my baby on this one. But TLC wins this, man, by landslide, man. TLC.
And basically, that. That concludes the social media portion of the slackest talk podcast. And y'all know what it is, man. Keep these questions coming, man. Keep these questions, keep these battles coming. Get at me. I want to know, you know, what you're thinking about, like, you know what I'm saying? Who should go against each other? What should the question be? You know, keep it coming, man. But until next time, man, we'll see you again next week.

And we back here on the Slackest Talk podcast, aka the talk of the town. Now we chopping it up, and we talking about Jalen Green, guard of the Houston Rockets, who's 22 years old, and drea Michelle from basketball housewives, who's 39, and she's pregnant with Jalen Green's child.
We asked the question, is it legit? You know, is she taking advantage of him? You know, what do you think about the age difference? You know, is it a problem or is it the norm?
And before we left off, you know, I asked a question, like, what if he saw her first? You know, what if he saw her and he approached her, you know, she had no idea, like, who he was or anything.
Because you have to think about it, right?
You know, we trying to go into this 50 50. We trying to go into this with an open mind, right?
Let's say they met at the game, right?
There's two NBA teams that's there, you know, at these games that she went to. There's a whole bunch of players there. They all got money, whatever.
You have to think, like, you know, why him? There's. I'm sure there's somebody else on the court that was, you know, just as young as he is, you know, saying maybe not as popular or maybe don't have as much money as he has. You know, he's not the highest paid right now, but, you know what I'm saying?
I'm sure, like, somebody like her has options, you know, I mean, but, like, what if he reached out to her through social media, you know, I'm saying, or he slid into DM's or something like that.
Like, all they actually, you know, met somewhere else, and she started coming to the games.
And my take on that is if he reached out first, then realistically, we can't say that she's taking advantage of him because he reached out first.
But if anything, you could say she's.
She sees an opportunity. She could see an opportunity, which is a difference. Which is a difference.
Taking advantage of somebody is like, you, you going out and you trying to do something. You know what I'm saying? But that's not the case if he, you know, went after her, you know what I'm saying? But nevertheless, it's an opportunity right now just to get into it and explain the look on both sides, you know what I'm saying? Like, starting with her.
I think for people, the weirdness is normally, right? Normally, you get, like, a woman that's, I can say, like, 35, 40, and up.
Normally, they want a man that's more mature than they are. Than they are, you know what I'm saying? They normally, they want somebody older.
They want somebody that's established. They want somebody that's on a level or, you know, somebody that could possibly take care of them. And even though he's younger, he could take care of her because he, you know, he's in the NBA. Right.
But, you know, when I say take care of, it's not just, like, financially.
They want somebody that could teach them something.
Somebody that a vet, somebody that they could learn from, somebody that got experience, somebody that been around, somebody that they could benefit off of. You hear that all the time. Like a man. I mean, a woman wants a man that's mature and older, that that's established, you know, mentally and physically and financially. You know what I'm saying? Normally, a younger guy, you know, going at somebody that age, the woman laughs. Like, man, you just. You out of college, man, like what? You know, and, you know, that kind of thing and stuff like that. So, like, that's the weirdness of it. Like, not even the fact that she's going younger, the fact that she's going, you know, that that much younger is surprising.
But again, more so than the age difference. It's the actual age. You understand what I'm saying? Like, she went to 22.
You know what I'm saying? Like, like somebody that just, like, really just getting out of school, you know what I'm saying? Like, like, what makes her think that that part of it is okay, you know, that's the weirdness of it.
Cause like I said, if she was 50, I can see a 50 year old woman, like, wanting a 33 year old. I can see that that would be more. You know what I'm saying? Cause that 33 is a vet, that 33 is established. Like all the things that I just said, you know what I'm saying?
But she went to 22, and that's the question in it, right?
Whereas on the other end, you know, it's. I can tell you, you know, I don't know. Jalen Green. I'm not in the Houston Rockets locker room. You know, I don't know his family, I don't know his friends, anything. But, man, you know, just this, just being a man that, just living life. I can tell you, like, he's getting unlimited props every day.
He's getting patted on the back every day.
Everything from, man, dog. Like, how did you pull that off?
What did you say to her so I could try that on somebody, man? Does she have any friends? Oh, you know, he's, he's, he's loving it, man. Like, he's, like I said, he getting props every day. Every day, man. Every day, man. You got an older woman, dog. You. You straight, man. Like, man, you know, she knows some stuff. Like, you know, I'm saying all the way around the table, man, every day. I could just imagine. I could just imagine.
And not for nothing, man, but this is not the first time, man. We kind of saw this story before.
We seen this with Brittany Renner and what's my man name?
I think he's on Dallas PJ Washington, right?
Something similar. She was, I think, 26, and. But this time, you know, he was in college, so, you know, he played for the Kentucky Wildcats. I believe he ain't even make it to the NBA yet. He was in college, and she was coming up to the school, man. Like, she was coming up to his games, man. Like, same thing. Like, I could just imagine, like, he getting asked every day, like, yo, dog, you know, Brittany Renner's a, you know, she's a celebrity in her own right.
She was on basketball wives, too. Like, ironically, like, she, she was on basketball wives. Her and PJ, they had a kid together and everything. Like, almost identical, man. It's just that, you know, Drea is older than, you know, it's more of an age gap with, with Drea and Jalen than it is, you know, Britney and PJ Washington. But, yeah, PJ Washington wasn't. Was in school, and, you know, she was coming to the games.
I could just imagine, dog, like, every day, man. Like, people, like, damn, dog, how did you pull that off, man? Like, what did you do? Like, how do you even meet her? Like, how did. How did you even get on her radar like this every day, you know, saying every day, right?
And, you know, story goes, you know, that didn't work out. They had odds down, and that was a whole big thing. That was a whole big story in itself.
And when you see an age difference, you know, like that.
And again, I keep saying, you know, we talk about age difference. But I think it's the age 22 day. It's the fact that he's 22.
The first thing, like, people talk about is, like. Or people think about is, like, how do they like each other? If it's real, how do they like each other? Like, what do they have in common? You know what I'm saying? Like, what's the common denominator? You know what I'm saying? Because you got a habit if you say you like somebody or something like that.
And it made me think, you know, it made me go into thinking about it. Like, I was at the barbershop, you know, getting it. Getting a haircut the other day, and, you know, this topic come up, and I actually wanted to do it. I actually want to do a show about this, too. We were talking about, you know, social media, and we were talking about how, you know, cats, you know, my age and my generation, we ain't go to school with phones, and there was no Google and all that, you know, AI's and all that stuff, man. You know, we did it the hard way.
And, and when I got the idea, you know, to do this episode with, with Jalen and Drea, it made me start thinking, you know, she's 39, you know, he's 22, she's 39.
But, you know, she's younger than me, right?
And I remember, like, the cell phones, like, started getting popular, like, like, right about the time when cell phones was getting affordable and. And it was, you know, being made for everybody to have. Cause at first, man, you know, you had to be that dude to have a cell phone. I remember it was only a certain amount of people, a certain type of person that had cell phones originally, you know what I'm saying?
But, like, yeah, when it was being made for everybody and, you know, it was getting away with the minutes and it was becoming unlimited and stuff like that.
That was right when I was getting ready to get out of high school, you know what I'm saying? When I was getting ready to get out of high school, that was the time where everybody was, like, now having cell phones and stuff like that.
And even then, at first, you know, the smartphones wasn't out then, you know, they was just cell phones at first, you know, you just call people and all text, you know what I'm saying? There was no Internet, no gps, none of that stuff, you know what I'm saying? None of that.
But it got me to thinking that, you know, she missed that.
You know, when, when she was in school, they did have phones.
They was headed in that direction, you know what I'm saying? They did have phones, and. And social media was becoming a thing when she was in school.
So Jalen being 22, man, that's all I do know. Now, you five or six years old, man. You got a cell phone, you got a tablet. You know what I'm saying? So the social media thing, you know, I'm saying that the phones, all that stuff, I could. Even with the age difference, I can see that being, you know what I'm saying? I can see that being one of the main things that drew them to each other, the following people, you know what I'm saying? Like, if I feel like if you're an age where, you know, you grew up with the cell phone and you grew up with the tablet in your hand, you know, at five, six years old, and y'all had Google and all that kind of stuff in school, social media is a big thing for you. It's like, one of the biggest things ever to me. Like, I grew up, when I first. When I first came into the world, we didn't have that, you know what I'm saying? But to somebody that grew up under that, it's a big thing. So I can imagine, like, that being a big thing for both of them. All the, you know, electronics, all the devices and stuff like that, like, I'm sure they got all that in common. So, I mean, it's. I say that to say, like, it's very possible that they got a connection or they, you know, they do really like each other. You know what I'm saying?
He could be a fan of watching reality tv shows.
She could be, you know, she has dated an athlete before.
She could be a sports fan. You know, the name of the show that she appeared on is Basketball wild. So, I mean, you know what I'm saying? Like, you kind of, like, could see some of the similarities there.
Like, you know me, like I said, being 50 50, man, and giving people the benefit of doubt. You know, maybe she had some bad experiences with older guys and wanted to try something different.
You know, maybe he had some bad experience, bad experiences with somebody younger and felt like he needed somebody older.
You know, I'm saying, it. It could be in both situations, this matched up. She was looking for somebody younger, he was looking for somebody older, and it just. It came together now as. As a man.
As a man. Right. And Jalen Green is a man.
It's nothing.
Well, let me put it to you like this.
It's definitely a lot of benefits to having an older woman.
Certain things you don't have to tell them.
They automatically know.
Certain they established already. If, you know, you picked the right one in that regard, they established already.
They have their own, you know, I'm saying if you, like I said, you pick the right one.
They somebody that you could talk to, you know, they probably familiar, they may be familiar with what you're going through, other things that you have to deal with. They could be more understanding. All that good stuff. Like there's definitely benefits to having the older woman.
But man, I gotta tell you, I gotta tell you, bro, I gotta tell you, I gotta tell you, Jalen, there's a downside to this. There's a downside to this.
And when I tell you that there's a benefit of messing with an older woman because they know some stuff, it could also be very, very bad for you because they know some stuff.
We're going to take another commercial break and when we get back, we go talk about the potential bad side of seeing what an older woman know. Stay tuned. It's the slackest tall podcast. Throwback Thursday classic film of the week is a movie called Coach Carter starring Samuel Jackson. This movie is classic. It kind of remind me of a movie called lean on me, basically, you know, Samuel is a basketball coach and he comes to a school that's just like dysfunctional, man. You know, they not doing nothing, you know, academically getting in trouble, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, trying to be dogs in the street.
Basketball team is losing at that, you know what I'm saying? Like just basically like wasting time. And he comes in and he turns the program around, you know what I'm saying? He turns the team around both on the court and off, and he makes, you know, the whole team buy into his system and, you know, they end up, you know, winning, you know what I'm saying? So I think it's based off a true story too, man. So you know what I mean? A feel good story kind of remind me of lean on me. Got a good cast characters in it. So you know what I mean? Definitely. If you haven't already, you know what I'm saying, man. Go check that out.
This week's dough back Thursday, classic film is a movie called Coach Carter starring Samuel L. Jackson. Check it out.
[00:46:53] Speaker B: You're now live and in the mix with film producer Jason Slack.
[00:47:02] Speaker A: And I'm back. It's the talk of the town now. Thanks for staying with me here on the Slackest talk podcast as we wrap it up and talk about Dre and Michelle and Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets. The age difference, you know, her being in a relationship and they bringing a child in the world, you know, is it, is it legit or is she taking advantage? That's what we talking about here on the Slykers talk podcast and off the rip. You know what I'm saying? It is what it is. You know, he's going to be looked at as, you know, he's the man for pulling the older woman like that, you know what I'm saying? And her being older and, you know, not just older, but him being the age he is, people are going to naturally think, you know, she's taking advantage, you know, she's on a come up or, you know, trying to use them or whatever, you know, I mean, that's, that's just how it's going to play out now. You know, we were talking about how this could be good because, you know, he messes with an older woman that knows some stuff and it can be beneficial to him, but this could be very bad for him because she knows some stuff and, you know, here on the slackest talk, man, you know, I teach, I like to teach, I like to prepare people, and this is no different, you know what I'm saying? This could be anybody not, you know, Jaylen Green or there's anybody who's in a similar situation or, you know, some, some, you know, something close, something close by, you know, something close to it right now, you know, because you're young, you know, 22, you know, you, this is like the second year in the NBA, you knew, like I said, you know, you're just learning how to take care of your money.
You, you just became a millionaire. You know, you have to manage your money.
You have to get the right people in place to make sure you stay that way. You stay a millionaire and you keep building. You have to build your brand, have a life outside of basketball.
You have a child coming into the world now, so you might want to make some investments, you know what I'm saying? Some, some wise decisions, you know, like, you know, life after basketball, like, you know, maybe just throwing some out there, some clothing, some restaurants, something that you can look forward to, you know, outside of basketball. You know what I'm saying? The game of basketball is tricky. You know, we all, you know, anytime, you know, you play any sport, there's a risk of injury. There's a risk of, you know, a lot of stuff because, you know, you haven't gotten that big contract yet as far as I know.
You know, I'm saying everything is on a rookie scale, and you haven't gotten that, that Max deal yet. So, you know, you got to learn on the fly, dude.
Don't be reckless with your money.
You know, make wise decisions.
You don't need five or six houses right now. You know what I'm saying? Not right now. You know what I mean? You get there. You know what I'm saying? You will.
And just make sure, like, you have all your business and everything tight, not just because you mess with her or any female. You want to have your business tight anyway, you know what I'm saying? Regardless if, even if there is no relationship, you know what I'm saying?
And more importantly, man, you know, you wanted to talk to this older woman, right?
So now you, you have a.
And hopefully, man, hopefully you were serious about this. Like, this is something that you wanted.
You didn't, you know, you didn't just look at this as, like some kind of obstacle, you know what I'm saying? Like some kind of game.
If you, if you seriously, if you're serious about this and you serious about her and you feel she is, you have nothing to worry about, you know what I'm saying? And I know this kind of, like, seems like plain and simple, and this is what everybody should know or something like that, but it's an actual point to it. If you serious, you know, you ain't got nothing to worry about.
But, like, if this was a game, oh, you know, there's something that you wanted to try to do and you went this far with it, and, you know, you start to venture off or, you know, you're not the same as when things start to, when things first started and stuff like that, those good things that she knows that could be beneficial to you, all that, you know, good experience that she got that you like about her, all those things that you don't have to tell her.
That experience goes both ways.
An older woman knows how to help you, but then they also know what to do to destroy you, too.
And like I said, in the beginning, if you serious, you ain't got nothing to worry about.
But if you not, she doesn't, you know, because of her experience, she done dated athletes before.
She done been on a tv show where all they do is bash basketball players, and I'm not trying to scare you. I'm not trying to. This keeping it real.
She's been on the show where all they do is bash, you know, basketball players and men in general.
She's. She's a celebrity herself. So, you know, she's been in the entertainment industry for a little while now.
So she done did, like, what you're trying to do.
She may know loopholes that you don't know exists.
She may know contracts and stipulations that you have never heard of.
And by no means, I'm not saying that, you know, this is the case. And she's like this. I'm saying, if you did something to her, you understand what I'm saying? If you did something to her or, you know, you're not being real, you know what I'm saying? This. That's what I'm talking about. So by no means am I saying, you know, anybody's like that. Like I said here on the stock is talk. You know, I give the benefit of the doubt you have to keep in mind, you know, and like I said, just because you're 22, dog, so, you know what I mean? Like, people just can't assume that you already know because you just 22, it's like, no longer just a relationship anymore because, you know, she's pregnant.
So, you know, that's, that's a, that's a commitment, though. That's. That's a, that's a responsibility.
You know what I'm saying?
Now, you know, like I said, man, you know, we positive here on the Slackestalk podcast.
I'm going to go out on the limb, man, and say, this is real. I definitely believe that Jalen likes her, and I believe it's a possibility that, you know, she likes him.
And it leads me to a question, too. Right?
And this is like, this, like, has nothing. This has nothing to do with them, but I just want to know how the slackest tall community feels about this. Right?
You know, for the woman out there that, you know, they're women out there that use men to get what they want, stuff like that, you know, take advantage, names of that nature. Right?
How far do you think it can go? And, like, when I say, like, how far can it go?
Like, if she, if her intent is to use them do they not have any boundaries at all that, you know, it doesn't matter if they 2025 years older, they can have multiple kids, you know, it just doesn't matter at all. Or they feel like there are certain limits as to what they can do, you know what I'm saying? It's like, you know, hey, I want to use this guy, but I'm only willing to do, you know, but so much. Do you think it's a limit, or do you think they just have, like, no boundaries at all? Like, get at me, man, on social media, and let me know, like, what's your answers? I think I'm gonna leave that, you know, for the slackest talk question of the week, you know, one of these, one of these weeks, man, we need to get into that. And secondly, and, you know, secondly, if a woman, if she uses him, if a woman is using a man, if she has an intent on using a man, even though she's using them, and she might not be true, she might be there to get what she can get or whatever, do you believe that she has to like him a little bit?
You know what I'm saying? The reason why I asked that is, like, even though she's still using them, I guess you could say she still made the decision to.
To pick him. You understand? I'm saying, like, does it not matter at all how the person looks? Do you have to, like, you might not be in love with him, but is he somebody that you, you know, you like a little bit? You know what I'm saying? Like, even though your attention is just to use him, but is it a situation where you like him a little bit or it just doesn't matter? Like, you don't have to like him at all. Like, he can just be the ugliest dude or whatever. You know what I'm saying? It's just about what you can get. Like, let me know your thoughts on that. You know, let me know. I want to hear from you. I want to hear, you know, what y'all think, you know what I'm saying? Because I think about stuff like that a lot, you know what I'm saying? And getting back to the situation, you know, I think it's possible that they, that they like each other, you know what I'm saying? I think it's very possible.
And, you know, think about it. You know, we'll have a chance to find out. You know what I'm saying? We'll see what happens. You know, I'm saying is either last or it won't you know what I'm saying? So we'll get, you know, we'll get to see what goes on from here. But, you know, I think it's real, you know, and to proven, you know, otherwise, I think it's more so, like, not the age difference but his age. And then, you know, to piggyback off of that, you know, there's a lot of young people that grew up rough, man. And because they grew up rough, they had to grow up fast and they became mature, you know what I'm saying? He might have a little brother that he had to, like, take care of all his life, you understand what I'm saying? Or somebody, you know, just giving an example like somebody with disabilities and stuff like that. So even though he's 22, man, he might be 42 in the mind, you know what I'm saying? Based off of what he been through, you know, I'm saying we just don't know. His childhood and everything, we just don't know. But, you know, like I said, I give it the benefit of doubt, you know, I'm saying we get to see it. And in all actuality, man, I'm pulling for them, man, I'm actually, I'm actually pulling for them. I hope it do work.
And the reason why I hope it do is because, you know, I've seen, like, a lot of age different, you know, a lot of age differences in relationship. You know, regardless of whether the woman or the man was older. I seen a lot of them, like, like Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey. They did come to mind. I think that's like a ten year, twelve year difference or something like that.
There's been a lot of them, man, a lot of them. And, like, none of them, you know, has went all the way, you know what I'm saying? And it stood the test of time.
But the reason why, you know, I'm pulling for them, you know, she's 39 and he's 22.
So let's say, you know, let's, let's get a chance to see them live for 30 years and be together for 30 years, right? Let's say, you know, 30 years from now, you know what I'm saying? They still together.
I want to see, like, how it is or better yet, better yet, make it 2020 years from now when she's 59 and he's 42, you know what I'm saying? Like, let's see if, you know, it's the same because at 42, he would no longer probably be playing basketball. But 42, man, in life is young. It's still young, man. You know what I'm saying? I don't care what y'all say, man. Like, 42 is still young, 59 is still young, but 59 should be going on being a senior citizen while he's, like, 42. And, you know, he can still get out here, you know what I'm saying? And still, like. Like, move. So it's like, let's see if, you know, both still have the same outlook, you know what I'm saying? Then.
I'm just saying, you know, I mean, I never seen an age difference, like, you know, actually go that long. But we'll wait and see what happens. This has been a slackest talk podcast, aka to talking to town. Now I'm your host, film producer, Jason Slack.
Hopefully, you know what I'm saying? Y'all rooting for. For them like I am because I want to see, you know, how this plays out. You know what I'm saying? And plus, you know, there's a baby involved, you know what I mean? So let's see what happens. And this might be the one that stands the test of time, but, you know, y'all have a safe holiday, man. Y'all take care of each other and represent God, man. You know what I mean? Only him. He's the reason why we here today. Y'all have a blessed one. And we'd be back to talk again next week. Peace.
Bye.
